Quick answer
Tax Paperwork does not file Form 8892 online, make a gift or GST payment, mail the voucher, or confirm IRS processing. The preview only prepares a browser-local, watermarked draft for known Form 709 or 709-NA extension and payment-voucher facts.
Source and advice boundary
Use the linked IRS Form 8892, instructions, and gift-tax e-file pages below as official source starting points. This guide is education-only and does not provide tax, legal, valuation, payment-channel, mailing, penalty, interest, or filing-channel advice.
Direct answer for online filing
The IRS MeF page identifies Form 8892 in the gift-tax e-file program. That does not make Tax Paperwork an authorized e-file transmitter, reporting agent, IRS payment channel, mailing service, or status service.
Use IRS.gov, the current instructions, or an authorized provider for any official filing-channel question. Use the Tax Paperwork preview only to organize facts already known before the customer controls the official step.
Extension and payment facts stay separate
The IRS Form 8892 instructions explain when the form is used for an automatic Form 709 extension and when the voucher is used for gift or GST tax payment.
A draft can show extension-only, extension-plus-voucher, or voucher-only facts, but it does not decide whether a Form 709 extension is needed, whether Form 4868 or Form 2350 already applies, or whether a payment is due.
Amount uncertainty is out of scope
Payment-voucher numbers should come from the taxpayer's own records, calculations, or professional review. Tax Paperwork does not calculate gift tax, GST tax, late-payment exposure, interest, penalties, or check/Pay.gov amounts.
If the amount, donor status, spouse coordination, Form 709-NA facts, deadline posture, or prior gift-tax history is unclear, stop before relying on a draft.
Where Tax Paperwork fits
The public preview organizes known Form 8892 facts and creates a watermarked draft. It does not calculate the gift or GST tax amount, make a Pay.gov or check payment, mail the voucher, or submit an extension.
If the customer chooses a paper path, keep customer-owned proof such as the signed copy, payment evidence, mailing receipt, private-delivery record, and any IRS response. Tax Paperwork does not track delivery or processing.
When to stop
- You are uncertain whether Form 4868 or Form 2350 already extended the gift-tax return.
- You are unsure about the amount due, donor death, Form 709-NA, spouse coordination, penalties, or interest.
